Anne Moody’s M6 Winery focuses on community, family

TYLER, Texas (KETK) – From charcuterie board lessons to painting wine glasses, Anne Moody has paired parties and events with her husband’s hobby. Together, the East Texas couple run their brewing business, M6 Winery in Bullard.

“I’m the human part of the business,” Anne said. “I like events. I loved getting involved.

For the married couple, their winery is about family and community.

“Joe said we were making so many new friends from this, and I was like, ‘Honey, we have so many friends already,'” Anne said. “But, it’s so true. We’ve had the sweetest people and made some of our best friends that we’ve met here.

Everything in the store has meaning starting with the name.

“So our last name is Moody, and when Joe started making wine years ago, we had four kids,” Anne said. “Now we are 15 and the number keeps growing. It’s the original six.

Art on the wine bottles, which their daughter drew, with the names of the wines. One is named after Anne herself.

“Joe, he said, ‘I think I’ll name our sweetest wine Sweet Tex Anne,’ Anne said. “I said, ‘Okay.’ He said, ‘No, but I’ll spell it like you spell your name.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, you’re trying to earn brownie points.’

Every bottle, barrel and ampule has a story behind it. As Moody’s will tell you, it’s not about the money. It’s about people.

“We want to be a blessing to others,” Anne said. “But so many people have blessed us.”

They’re pouring love into the lives of East Texans, one drink at a time. In April 2023, M6 Winery will celebrate seven years of activity.
