Vonlane Expands Luxury Bus Service From Fort Worth To 2 Popular Texas Cities
In good news for Fort Worth travelers looking for alternatives to flying or filling their tanks, Vonlane has stepped up service to two popular Texas destinations.
The luxury bus operator introduced two new departures, on peak days, from Fort Worth to and from Austin and Houston (for a total of four daily excursions between each city).
“Good news, early birds! Cowtown just got more accessible with additional departure times from Austin, Houston and Fort Worth that allow you to have a productive day trip aboard Vonlane,” said the company in an Aug. 23 email to customers. “Skip the night in a hotel, travel in first-class comfort, and return home rested and caught up in phone calls and emails.”
The calendar now looks like this:
Fort Worth to/from Austin: 7 a.m., 11 a.m., 3 p.m., 7 p.m. Monday to Friday; modified service Saturday-Sunday.
Fort Worth to/from Houston: 6 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 3:30 p.m., 8:15 p.m. Monday to Friday; modified service Saturday-Sunday.
There is currently no Fort Worth-Dallas service. There are also no roads between Fort Worth and San Antonio, the only other city in which Vonlane operates. Fingers crossed for San Antonio.
But with the newly expanded services, according to the Dallas-based company, it’s back to 95% of its pre-pandemic capacity. From October, in fact, travelers can expect up to eight departures each way on Vonlane’s most popular routes, they say – a total of 72 departures on peak days between major destinations. from Texas.
“Texans are eager to get out and travel across the state for vacation, for work and to see loved ones, and they turn to Vonlane for the best travel experience in America,” said Alex Danza, Founder and CEO of Vonlane, in a statement. “By increasing our departures to pre-pandemic levels, we’re making it easier than ever for travelers to escape on their own schedule in comfort and style.”
Around Texas, Vonlane’s upcoming schedule will offer the following departures on peak days:
- Fort Worth-Houston: 4 departures each way
- Fort Worth-Austin: 4 departures each way
- Dallas-Austin: 8 departures each way
- Dallas-Houston: 8 departures each way
- Austin-Houston: 8 departures in each direction
- Houston-San Antonio: 4 departures each way
The company says it hopes to relaunch the out-of-state service in November. Before the pandemic, it operated routes to and from Oklahoma City.
Vonlane launched its premium bus service in 2014 to meet the needs of business travellers. Each bus, which seats less than two dozen passengers, offers amenities such as Wi-Fi, satellite TV and radio, snack and drink service, sleep masks and leather seats. Rates start at $99.
In Fort Worth, buses leave in front of the JFK Tribute at 916 Main St., downtown, and passengers can use valet parking across the street at the Hilton Fort Worth, 815 Main St., or park in a nearby garage.
Reservations can be booked online and can be canceled and fully refunded up to 24 hours before departure.
